Team Racing "Froggy" Tech?

I have no idea how this works, really. So i would like help on how to use this. Along with the super turn on Turbo track at the S turn, I have no idea how either works, so a good explanation would be good. Thanks

for froggy, just tap r1 or l1 very fast while holding the other button (l1 or r1). Froggy is just the term we use for when we're constantly jumping.

For U-turn, hold square, down and a directional button(left or right) while froggying (and not pressing X when you're doing the U-turn, cause you can't hold both square and x at the same time).

Do you need to hold the other l1 or r1 button when froggying, or is it harder when you don't hold it. Just started learning this tech, so I don't get it all the time to the end. Is it because I tap the button not fast enough, and should holding the other button help me do this tech?

You need to hold the other button to get better froggys, perfect froggy is when you spend least time on the ground and always rebound as soon as you hit the ground.

Notice that even when you hold the other button, you will still get imperfect froggys, that's sometimes due to not froggying fast enough (jumps on flat ground have an airtime of 0.23 seconds on PAL but it can be shorter than that if the road isn't flat, and if you don't click on 'jump' when you're in the air, you won't bounce when you land). Sometimes on particular places in the tracks the froggy 'bugs' for no reason and you get stuck on the ground. This actually happens very often.
