Thrash Metal, Grindcore and Hardcore Punk subgenres > Social, Political

Folk Metal, Viking Metal > Folklore, Nature ???

Death Metal, Goregrind > Gore, Death

Progressive Metal, Power Metal, Melodic Death Metal > Philosophy, Fantasy

Melodic Death Metal, Metalcore > Inner Struggles, Philosophy ???

Black Metal > Satanism, Hate.

Doom Metal, Dark Metal > Sorrow, Darkness.

Heavy Metal, Eletronic/Industrial Metal > various themes.

Well, I personally prefer Black Metal for its satanic atmosphere, underground feeling, imagery, lyrics, corpse paint, church burning, etc.

For enjoying the music, I like (pure) Death Metal, and others...

also for me that kind of metal isnt the best...for example my favourite one is Power metal (sonata arctica i primis) and then something like iron maiden and metallica. you can listen to Brutal Death Metal one times a month and then stop
