Balanced Characters

Crash Bandicoot



Stats

Description
Crash is a well-rounded character with equal ability in all aspects of racing. For this reason he is a good performer on nearly every course in CTR. Crash is also a good choice for Battle mode because he can make turns well and isn't incredibly slow. When selected in Adventure mode, Crash sets the difficulty to "Intermediate".





Cortex

Turning: 3

Description
Cortex is also a well-rounded character with equal ability in all aspects of racing. For this reason he is a good performer on nearly every course in CTR. Cortex is bigger than Crash, so is usually easier to spot in battle mode, especially with his red kart. When selected in Adventure mode, Cortex sets the difficulty to "Intermediate".





Komodo Joe

Description
Komodo Joe is like just Crash and Cortex. He shares their ability to comfortaly handle most tracks in the game, and is decent at Battle mode too.




Fake Crash

Description
Fake Crash has the same stats as Komodo Joe, and shares his ability to perform decently on most tracks, and in battle mode.




Penta Penguin

Description
The ultimate Racer? Nearly. Penta is maxed in every stat, making him great for courses which require a character to take lots of tight turns, such as Hot Air Skyway. He is also a good choice for Battle Mode, being fast yet having good turning, and can accelerate well after being hit. However, Penta's high turn stat is a downfall is courses which do not require harsh turns, as it can make it difficult to pull off three turbos in a row and build up reserves.




Speed Characters

Tiny




Stats

Turning: 1

Description
Tiny may be big, but his kart goes fast. A great choice for Time Trial mode in courses which have few turns such as Coco Park. Tiny's low turning stat means he can boost along straights and build up a lot of reserves. In Battle Mode, however, Tiny is a poor choice. His low acceleration and turning mean he will be difficult to maneuver, and he is big and bright orange. When selected in Adventure mode, Tiny sets the difficulty to "Advanced".




Dingodile

Turning: 1

Description
Dingodile also goes very fast, but at the cost of the ability to take turns or accelerate fast. This makes him a great choice for Time Trials in tracks which do not have harsh turns, as he can build up reserves along straights. Dingodile is also a poor choice for battle mode for similar reasons to Tiny. When selected in Adventure mode, Dingodile sets the difficulty to "Advanced".




Papu Papu

Description
Papu boasts the same great Speed as Dingodile and Tiny. In Time Trials he performs just as well as the others in cuorses which don't require turns. Papu is not very usefl for battle mode because he is gigantic and easy to see.




N Tropy

Beating all of his times in Time Trial Mode

Description
N Tropy plays like Papu, Tiny and Dingodile. He is good for Time Trial courses which do not involve huge turns, but can take straights nicely. He is also fairly useless to see in Battle Mode.




Acceleration Characters

N. Gin



Stats

Turning: 2

Description
N Gin accelerates quickly, but doesn't have a huge speed to accelerate to. He is of little use in Time Trial mode for this reason. He performs averagely in Battle Mode, having good acceleration after being hit but lower turning abilities for pursuit. When selected in Adventure mode, N Gin sets the difficulty to "Intermediate".

Coco



Stats
Speed: 3
Acceleration: 5
Turning: 2

Description
Coco has the same strengths and weaknesses as N Gin, and thus isn't too useful in Time Trial mode where Acceleration is unnecessary. When selected in Adventure mode, Coco sets the difficulty to "Intermediate".




Pinstripe

Description
Pinstripe isn't much different to N Gin or Coco. However, he is superior to Crash and Cortex in battle mode due to having higher Acceleration than them, meaning he can recover quickly after taking a hit. He also is quite small. Pinstripe remains with little use in Time Trial due to his low speed.




Turning Characters

Polar




Stats
Speed: 2
Acceleration: 3
Turning: 5

Description
Polar would be great for courses which have a lot of tight turns and complicated parts, but he is completely outclassed by Penta Penguin due to his tiny Speed Stat. Polar is quite good for Battle Mode though, with nice turning for both offence and defence, and fairly good acceleration. When selected in Adventure mode, Polar sets the difficulty to "Beginner".



Pura



Stats
Speed: 2
Acceleration: 3
Turning: 5

Description
Pura has the same strengths and weaknesses as Polar. He excels in Battle Mode and falls in Time Trial due to the existance of Penta Penguin. When selected in Adventure mode, Pura sets the difficulty to "Beginner".




Ripper Roo

Description
Ripper Roo has a low Speed stat like Polar and Pura, so is most useful in Battle Mode. In Time Trial mode he is outclassed by Penta Penguin because of his lower Speed.

you must add tiger temple and blizaard bluff for penta pinguin, and maybe crash cove ,and turning of tropy and papu is 2 or 1 but not 3 !

Done some testing with my own game and 2 controllers and I've found that the stats of the hidden characters are the same as the stats of the unlockable characters. I've edited the guide accordingly. Sorry for the mistakes.

I think pintripe is litle better and and cortex is fucking shit, I test all with ghosts in Coco Park....
