i will be finished my uni exams in november and i wanna improve a few records, but a major one is ultra ghost tech. how do you do this? i cant figure it out and i think with it i could post a very good time in slide coliseum, my favourite track. i have read the thomas60 guide, but its not helpful, well to me anyway. if anyone could offer further advice on this it would be much appreciated, cheers

Ok it's easy. You only have to keep pressing X+square+directional button and, meanwhile, froggy as fast as you can. At the beginning it's not easy, you'll learn it in a few days Wink

x+square WTF?

dont listen v4e, is idiot.

the tech is stop to press x and then quickly keep pressing square+left/right+R1/L1(as fast as you can)

depends.... perhaps for you to understand better you should see this :

Square : makes you break
Square + left/ right : makes you do a rotation, but you don't turn... and brake of course
Square + left/ right + down : the down button associated with the two others will make you turn in a very effective way, but as you brake, you will lose speed.
Froggy technique : r1 or l1 (or both...) tapped : a way to preserve your speed.
so froggy technique associated with the U-turn technique will turn very well AND preserve speed in a very effective manner.

To answer your question, r1 / l1 is the only button that needs to be tapped.
And pressing X is unuseful since you are already braking with Square, not sure coz I never use this technique and I don't have the game to try, but it might even annul the effect of the U-turn, so don't do it.

Is strange that v4e say Shocked, maybe is possible with another type of joytic(and this explain how is possible 1:25:xx in turbo track with bad techs Sad ) ,but in my case if I press x+square+down+froggy, annul the effect of the U-turn.

Afterall exist a better tech, but you need a analog joystic.
Accelerate with _right analog-up+square+(digital pad down)_ with this we can keep the same speed (with bad froggy anyway) , but if you make a good froggy you pass the ghost easier! but hard to use... king

( I use this in my HAS wr) lol!

It's not strange wht I said, I just forgot to delete a "X+" xD And your HAS is so bad that I can make 37.31 SL without any SG and my worst crash is 37.39 38.73 xDDD
