(Slide Coliseum) Best time without SC?

My best is 1.41.44

so i see this is a bit old, but my best times (course: 1.41.03, lap: 33.05) are done without the shortcut, and im convinced i could get faster too, theres one part of the track which on random occasions seems to give saffi fire automatically and if i can get that to work on all 3 laps i could be around a second quicker for my course and my lap done perfectly would be around 32.85

Well saffi fire is the technique that consists of making a huge amounts of reserves until the fire behind your kart becomes white, you don't go faster but you don't need to do powerslides anymore to keep your speed. You only gain saffi by making a lot of turbos (over 1 minute) so that's not what you mean ?

Maybe you mean sacred fire but I doubt it, because it's almost impossible to get it on this track, not unless you're a very experimented player (I can't do it).

He talk about sacred fire...with only one jump you can have sacred fire. I have 1:40:59+32:44 lap.

yes sorry i meant sacred fire, not saffi fire. i may not be as good as you overall but i am unable to make the shortcut on this level for whatever reason so i have played for hours trying to get better as this is my favourite track.
you can get sacred fire from jumping over the tyres just after where you would make a u turn to get the shortcut.
i cant do it everytime and i said that i only made it on random occasions, im not a professional player, i dont have the time to play enough, i have commitments with university and sports.
i am good at this track though as i have played it much more than any other tracks.
broke my record again today too, not by much though: 1.40.99 (34.56-33.06-33.36) bad starting lap my best is 34.14 and i usually do 34.30 to 34.40.
also does anybody else notice that the lap times and course totals on the game sometimes do not add up as in the above example of my new best course record? should i call my record 1.40.98 because that is what it actually adds up to or is my record what the game says it is?

My time is PAL too.I use the last SC in the last lap...and is 32:44

there are many ways to take the shortcut man. the faster and harder is make ultra turn before the third turn and go and pass between the tyres and the wall.

im issuing a challenge to see if anyone can beat my best time without the big sc for slide coliseum. my record currently stands at 1.40.76 best lap 32.83.
Qwerty as you can see above has 1.40.59 and 32.44 lap where he used sc at the end.
can anyone beat qwerty or myself?
