Ideas for the CTR Tournaments

Hey, what if we do tournaments each certain time? I explain:

EXAMPLE:

Let's organize a Wumpa Cup:

All players that can participate, post here. Then, we say a date limit: May 30th all these players must have their videos uploaded in each track of the WUmpa Cup (crash cove, blizzard bluff, tiger temple, coco park) and the player who wins in most of tracks (more points) win the tournament (get some new standard, some award, etc...)

We can set many a dates for each track, etc. Just players that can record a video and upload it to youtube. (If people decide that picture is allowed, so ok, but i don't think so)

For tournaments doens't matter the records that we have in ctr4ever, just the record that we do for the occasion.

If players think that it would be very unfair (Gods vs Titans vs Heros, etc...) We can do different tournaments only for Heros, only for Titans, only for Gods, etc.

I think this would help to improve and make the CTR more competitive!

(of course i wouldn't participate )

Is very good, but the tournament is in arcade ? or is necesary make a complete video of the 4 tracks? or i can play in diferents days?

And is more funny if select others charactrers like coco or pura..... because this cup is for? penta ? or dingo?

Great idea, I guess LinkZer had the idea of the tournament and you came with the Cup ideas.

I don't think there should be categories, just a final ranking...

And we could use different characters, or maybe cheats in arcade mode

Complete video is necessary of course.

Now some points that we may decide to complet the idea:

characters:

-Simply we can play with the characters that we want and change for each track if we like.
-Select one character for the current cup and don't change it while the duration of the cup.
-The makers say a character and all the participants must us it for the cup.

development of the cup:

-participants must upload an only video containing the 4 tracks of the cup for the date limit.
-we can separate the cup in dates (i think this would be funnier and exciting), example: video for crash cove: may 20th. video for tiger temple: may 25th, etc.

mode:
-videos must be done in arcade mode.
-videos must be done in time trial mode. (i decide for the time trial)

points:
like in the game: 1st place: +9. 2nd place: +6. 3rd place: +3 ... or something like that (i dont remember )

But first, we must see how many players will participate.

categories:
-All vs All: Only a wumpa cup, crystal cup, etc.. for each year. All players from begginners to gods can participate.
-Divided by standards a wumpa cup for gods, another for titans... a crystal cup for gods, another for titans... etc. (I lke more this idea)

publishing:
When the tourney is almost decided, i could make a video announcing it in CTRGamers, linkin' this topic, so the rest of people that arent registred here can see this and join.
Then i would make videos about the development, about the winners, etc of the tourney.

dates:
we must decide about the anothers points first.

awards:
when tourney is already decided i will start making... i dont, know, standards? signatures? awards? you better decided. I guess standars.

But you can´t restart the tournament, you need to show the points of the others players (cpu), because I can do 1:18:xx in crash cove and crash in with the fire in tiger temple... and I restart the cup, and play again tiger temple and do 1:26xx with the SC with the powers with a uka uka, or I cant use the powers?

Don't confuse please. My previous post was some mini-ideas that we should choose the best ones to make a great tourney.

Example: I prefer the 2nd option of those that you quoted me.

To my mind this is a great idea and maybe I could participate

But I need to become GOD 'cause I don't want to play with Titans ^^

categorizing is a dumb idea.

my proposals:

The rules are set by whoever wants to organise the tournament. If you want to organise it, make your own.

I will organise one later too, with my own rules (I won't participate obviously)

Time Trial not because, I have a lot of videos I can win the cup now;

I have old time trial videos crash cove with dingo 1:18:82(two times) + tiger temple 1:30:33 + coco park 1:15:43 ( blizard not but I can make now )
